FAITH PALILEO

Faith was born and raised in San Francisco and is a first-generation college graduate from San Francisco State University (SFSU), where she studied Sociology with an emphasis in Education and Ethnic Studies. Over the past eight years, she has gained meaningful experiences working with high school-aged youth through local nonprofits and educator pathway programs in partnership with the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD). Through these opportunities, she not only received guidance from seasoned educators but also had the privilege of returning to her high school alma mater to teach, which allowed her to reconnect with the same pathway program that deeply shaped her own educational journey.

In addition to her classroom experience, she has served as a Lead Mentor for the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) during her final two years at SFSU. In this role, she had the honor of supporting a dedicated group of first-year, first-generation scholars of color and a team of junior mentors. Through her experiences, Faith has developed a strong passion for youth and community development, educational equity, and social impact. She continues to embrace roles that allow her to foster meaningful connections and empower youth and first-generation students of color as they navigate their academic and personal journeys. Her goal is to uplift those breaking barriers and encourage them to support others in doing the same.
